Davao City seeking Ways to Discourage Cigarette Sales
DAVAO CITY – The city council plans to amend its anti-smoking ordinance to make it more difficult for people to buy cigarettes, said Councilor Peter T. Lavina.
Among the proposals is a ban on retailing cigarette per stick and on the streets, said Mr. Lavina, adding this should make it difficult especially for the poor to spend their money on such products.
